Doug Brotherton just finished his 8th year at the helm of The Village School girls varsity basketball program, leading the Lady Vikings to the TAPPS 6A State Championship. This marked the first State Championship, for a Houston area private school, in TAPPS 6A in over 30 years. Coach Brotherton has coached for 16 years and has been involved at all levels of basketball. He spent two seasons as an NBA Regional Scout for the Chicago Bulls. He is a content contributor for FastModel Sports. Coach Brotherton is the Founder of Dynamic Coaching Tools. In 2018, Coach Brotherton was a National Winner of the Positive Coaches Alliance Double Goal Coaching Award, which honors 50 coaches around the Country for their positive impact on the court, and in the lives of young people. Coach Brotherton was also elected as the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Large Private School Board Member. The past three summers, Coach Brotherton developed the Jay Bilas Camp Coaches Packet, which is used for the coaching development program, and also worked Snow Valley Camps. His family is made up of his wife, Megan, and three daughters; Madison, Peyton, and Taylor.
