Over the past 10 years Matt Williamson has made his way to the forefront of shooting instruction around the world. Matt’s FOREST shooting acronym (Finger, Offhand, Rhythm, Eyes, Sway, Turn) has rapidly been gaining popularity among coaches, players and parents. His program has worked with hundreds of teams at every level helping them break records, win championships and achieve higher goals. He considers himself a student of the game who focuses on teaching the skills of basketball, both fundamental and advanced, to players from the youth to professional levels. His methods and techniques are tried and true and proven by science. Coach Williamson has instructed thousands of players at all levels in the ART of shooting using the Pro Shot System. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach, and has the ability to break down the game and skills into their simplest, most basic components. With Pro Shot he has led skill camps and clinics in the US and abroad for almost 10 years now. He has been a part of the game of basketball from many different perspectives as a licensed official since 2002, a coach since 2004, and playing experience at the NAIA Div. 2 level. He has coached on both the men and women’s side of college & high school basketball and on the boy’s side of middle school and youth level basketball. In his third year as the men’s head coach of a brand new startup JUCO program named Hocking College his team was #3 in the nation in 3pt% shooting 43.9% from behind the arc. Matt is a graduate at 3 different universities holding degrees in Sport Science (Exercise Physiology/Human Performance), Medical Technology, Information Technology and Teacher Education. He lives in Ohio with his wife Nicole and 3 children Cameron (7), Sydney (5) and Lincoln (1).
